I was so glad to see every one's smiling face this morning. We had a wonderful day. Here are a few things that we will be learning about this week.

In math we will be learning about 3 dimensional shapes. Today we began learning the names of a few of these. Look around your house for cylinders, rectangular prisms, triangular prisms, spheres, and cones.

Our new word wall word for the week is "you". Please check the list located on the side of the homework sheet and review these sight words each night. If you child is having trouble with these at this point in the year it is a great idea to create flash cards and review them several times each day.

In science we are learning about melting ice. Today we had fun melting ice cubes and learning descriptive words to describe the process. A few of the words we used were melt, liquid, wet, cold, and heat source.
